
The following provisions are designed to protect the customer and Ski Japan Holidays YK. The services provided and the respective responsibilities and liabilities are outlined and governed by these TERMS AND CONDITIONS; it is the customer's responsibility to carefully read and understand them.
Procedures for payment, changes, cancellation, and charges are specified herein. In many cases, fees for changes and cancellations reflect fees assessed by vendors providing elements of the Packages. Refunds and cancellation policies are specified by the package providers. Amendment fees may apply if changes are required to packages.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Only upon receipt of full payment, travel documents are delivered by mail, faxed, emailed or collected at the destination specified by Ski Japan Holidays. Packages booked through agents outside Japan may issue travel documents, vouchers and other information not directly specified by Ski Japan Holidays and it's providers.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT
Depending on the type of package sold payments should be made as early as possible to avoid loss of booking and cancellation. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation. Ski Japan Holidays reserves the right to change schedules with reasonable notice. All prices and services specified in this web site are subject to change without notice.
PAYMENTS
Once a booking has been finalized and the booking confirmation has been emailed or faxed stating that your reservation has been confirmed a 20% non-refundable deposit of the total package cost will need to be paid to Ski Japan Holidays within 7 days of receiving this confirmation. The balance of payment will be required 60 days prior to the guest arrival date. Any bookings made within 60 days of arrival require full payment by the date as specified by the reservation consultant upon confirmation of the reservation.
PAYMENT METHODS
1. Credit Card:
Payment can be made to Ski Japan Holidays by way of credit card. The credit card authorization form will be sent to the customer as an attachment once the booking has been confirmed. This form will need to be filled in and then faxed or scanned back to our offices. With credit card payment we only accept the following card types Visa Card & Mastercard.
Having received your credit card information we then process the card for payment, once the card has been processed we will notify you of its success or failure.
Once authorisation has been granted and your card is processed successfully at our operations centre, we then send the CC Sales Slip to our bank in Japan. At this stage we now have authorized permission from the bank to have this amount credited to our account. But the currency conversion rate at which your card is charged has yet to be assigned. Our bank then sends the sales slips to VISA International where they assign the conversion rate at which you will later have charged and debited from your account. This process can take up to 2 to 3 weeks from the date the card is first processed in our office until the confirmed amount is deducted from your account.
Only in the case that we swipe your card directly in our office is the conversion rate of that day then debited from your account. Other than this Ski Japan Holidays cannot guarantee that on the day we process the card that the conversion rate will be the same as from which it is debited from your account. This is entirely up to Visa International and thus we can take no responsibility for the conversion rate at which your card is confirmed at and then the amount from which is debited from your account.
2. Bank Transfer:
Payment can be made by the way of domestic (those residing in Japan) or international bank transfer. Make sure when international bank transfers are performed to specify that bank's charges are to be paid by the sender, these are known as "Correspondent charges". All bank transfer fees must be paid separately to the reservation cost and this is responsibility of the customer
PRICES
All prices are quoted in Yen and all packages must be paid for in Yen. Package prices are subject to change without notice. Upon receipt of payment within the specified time periods, package pricing is guaranteed. Additional costs caused by factors beyond our and our package providers control are unrecoverable.
SECURITY BONDS FOR APARTMENTS
Credit card details are required upon check-in as a security on some self- contained apartments and lodges. Management of the these premises requires all guests to accept responsibility for loss and damage to the building and furnishings.
VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION
International traveler's may require visas before entering Japan, visa requirements are always subject to change and must be checked at the time of booking. Ski Japan Holidays does not arrange or take any responsibilty for the customers visa application or aquisition.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All packages are subject to cancellation charges, please read carefully before making a booking. In addition to cancellation charges, bank transfer fees will also be incurred by the customer.

Apartment Cancellation Policy
With regards to self-contained apartments a cancellation made within 60 days before arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount. Outside of the 60 days period a 20% cancellation fee of the total booking amount will be charged. Insurance covering cancellation is strongly advised as many of the self-contained apartments cancellation penalties are strict.
Lift Ticket, Transfers and Day Tours Cancellation Policy
Refunds will not be issued on unused vouchers for transfers, day tours or ski passes.
REFUNDS
Any refunds paid by Ski Japan Holidays, customers will incur the cost of the bank transfer fee. In the event that the refund is less than the cost of the bank transfer fee, the refund will not be processed. Refunds can only be made by the way of bank transfer, no credit card or cash refunds will be made by Ski Japan Holidays under any circumstances.
INSURANCE
Travel insurance is strongly recommended during any travel and requires a policy that covers winter sports including skiing and snowboarding.
RESPONSIBILITY
Please read carefully and understand
All winter recreational sports including skiing and snowboarding involve inherent risks about which the customer must make himself or herself aware of. By participating in an Ski Japan Holidays package, the customer does hereby agree that neither the customer nor associated parties claim for illness, injury or death resulting from the negligence (but not the reckless, willful, or fraudulent conduct) of Ski Japan Holidays, or affiliated organizations or the supplier of any element of the Package (hereinafter referred to as the "Suppliers") as a result of the customer's participation in the Package.
Suppliers, including but not limited to those arranging for or providing air and ground transportation, sightseeing arrangements, ski and snowboard rentals, and Lodging, are independent contractors and are not employees of Ski Japan Holidays. All travel documents are issued subject to Suppliers' terms and conditions. Neither Ski Japan Holidays nor the Suppliers for which Ski Japan Holidays acts as agent(s), shall be held liable for, and customer waives any claim against, Ski Japan Holidays and the Suppliers for loss or damage to property, or injury to person caused by reason of any failure of performance, defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission.
Ski Japan Holidays and it's agents act only in the capacity of agents for the customer on all matters pertaining to Lodging, activities, and transportation whether by air, rail, bus, automobile or otherwise and as such Ski Japan Holidays and its agents shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delays, or any other irregularity which may be occasioned whether by reason of any Supplier or otherwise in connection therewith. The passenger contract in use by the airline and/or any other Supplier hereunder shall constitute the sole contract between the respective company and the customer and/or purchaser of the Package.
