Hotel Oak Forest
Hotel Oak Forest is located within walking distance of the popular Echoland area of Hakuba Village. This is a mid-level hotel in upper Echoland, well priced and with good facilities and everything you will need to enjoy a great stay in Hakuba, the home of the 1998 Winter Olympics.
It has picturesque views of the mountains it backs on to. With lots of room and open spaces in the hotel, there is room to move. The Hotel Oak Forest features an authentic Japanese hot spring, known as onsen. Here they have very picturesque indoor and outdoor natural springs where you can rest and rejuvenate from the long cold days on the slopes.
The hotel has its own in-house shuttle service to almost anywhere in Hakuba and is just a short walk to the Echoland nightlife area. Shuttle pick-up is available from Hakuba Station and a free shuttle bus to Happo One, Goryu, Hakuba 47, Iwatake and Sanosaka resorts - The buses stop directly out the front of the hotel which is very convenient.
Traditional Japanese Kaiseki meals are served at this property, which are set meals with the likes of shabu shabu, sukiyaki, nabe the hot pot and many other tasty dishes also. Predominantly this is a western orientated property with western twin and triple bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, although there are a few Japanese tatami rooms also available with futon bedding for those that request this. Private locker room and storage for all of your equipment and a gift shop on site in the lobby are all available inside the hotel as well as complimentary parking for any guests who have their own cars.
This is a good mid-range property with friend and helpful Japanese staff that will be more than happy to assist you with all of your lodgings needs for your next holiday in Hakuba.

Onsen
The onsens at Hotel Oak Forest are separated into male and female sides, both with one indoor and one outdoor, just as spectacular and relaxing as each other, offering an ideal spot to unwind and soothe aching muscles. Both onsens are paired with bathing facilities to be used before using the onsen, and all guests are able to use the stunning onsen for free. The only set back is that during the winter months, the outdoor onsen may have to be closed due to the weather. Other than that, both onsens are open throughout the day and are available to use at all times, with separate onsens for men and women meaning that they’re never too crowded. As you’d expect, the onsens are situated in beautiful environments, with the indoor onsen subject to gorgeous views and plenty of natural light and the outdoor onsen surrounded by greenery and natural materials, making a visit here a truly relaxing one.
